This year marks 65 years since the Beatles first got together in Liverpool. It is unnecessary to write about what this group achieved how permanently they wrote themselves into the history of world popular music. Their name and their music come to mind for almost everyone; we all know them and they are generally perceived as extraordinary, brilliant, practically unforgettable.
The South Czech Philharmonic also wants to join in the celebrations of this anniversary. We've been thinking about how to do it. And the result is, we can say, is a unique and original idea. After all, how else to approach their legacy. That is why Tomáš Ille will arrange a selection of their songs for the South Czech Philharmonic, Jan Talich will conduct and the vocal part - and here it is perhaps the most original - will be performed by the Kühn Children's Choir from Prague with choirmaster Petr Loužensky.
We can already say that a truly extraordinary and wonderful experience awaits us.
