Somewhere between folk, pop and jazz lies a place called Marz - the musical universe of singer, guitarist and songwriter Markéta Zdeňková. Her songs orbit around themes ranging from sincere confessions to playful puns to shamanic ritual. She writes mostly in Czech and has the ability to create imaginative melodies while maintaining the naturalness of her mother tongue. Thanks to this, she is finding an ever-growing audience across genres and generations.
