Folk songs and dances have inspired many famous composers. Together with actor Pavel Liška and the orchestra, we’ll follow in the footsteps of melodies that have traveled from villages all the way to concert stages. The program will playfully demonstrate how simple folk motifs are transformed into colorful orchestral music and how deeply folk tradition is rooted in classical music. Wonderful dancers among the composers will invite us to join the circle. Antonín Dvořák, Johann Strauss, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky will all be there!
