Today I can say that it was very good and we have gradually worked our way up to today. When we are functioning very well within the limits of our possibilities, when we have the trust and support of our founder - the South Bohemia Region and of course of the essential ones, the audience. It's a wonderful, creative work, it's just a great joy.
The flip side of that cooperation was the creation of a kind of, shall we say, bulwark against those who sought to land on and take advantage of our actions. To break off a piece for themselves, even though it brings nothing, they would just like to take it away. And so, to this day, I still have to occasionally fend off the senseless attacks of those who have not come to terms with the cut-off. I have to say I've never encountered these types before. Every job brings contact with great people and those on the other end. Fortunately, the latter are many orders of magnitude fewer. Units. Individuals.
Musicians are people who have to prepare for their future profession since childhood. Moreover, they must have talent. And then they graduate and start to produce great music that is extraordinary, exceptional and, I'm not afraid to say, simply the best. These people deserve support and humility. Let us be glad that in this country virtually every county town has an orchestra. Let's be glad that such a cutting edge culture is so attainable, is just around the corner. At a time when we are bombarded on all sides with gossipy music from the radio, from television. These people, these orchestras are here to keep the tradition alive, to keep the awareness alive and to bring joy without exaggeration. Let's have it with them.
It was and is simply, I repeat in conclusion, a dream job. I am happy to have been able to pursue it for over a decade.
